Management: Business Development Manager - Dublin
Our client is currently searching for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the team of their busy and reputable 4* Hotel in Dublin City Centre.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and nurture relationships with key corporate clients,
Perform day-to-day sales activity including - lead generation, sales calls, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment and regional sales trips plus some overseas trips to the UK,
Selling as a group to Corporate clients,
Execute quarterly activity plans to support business needs,
Weekly & Monthly monitoring of GDS business and completion of relevant RFP’s,
Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis, monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity,
Plan and direct day-to-day operation of the Sales & Marketing department in the absence of the Sales & Marketing Manager to ensure maximum revenue and profitability and to provide potential and existing clients with the highest level of sales service,
Assist Club Vitae, Food & Beverage team with necessary sales & marketing activity,
Assist the Sales & Marketing manager with planning and implementation of annual marketing expenditure focussing on overall business,
Assist with the management of hotel advertising & promotional campaigns,
Produce hotel printed promotional material including brochures, flyers, special offers, posters, tent cards etc. as required, always following Group brand guidelines.
To have at least 1 year's experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector.
Reactive sales experience is a must with proactive sales experience desirable.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
The role will involve travel; candidates must have access to a car for work and hold a full Driver's Licence.
