Congratulations to Gerard Denneny the newly appointed General Manager at the 5* Park Hotel Kenmare. Gerard worked with the Brennan family early in his career and has recently returned from running Jade Mountain in St Lucia.

James Dilleen has joined The School House in Ballsbridge as General Manager. James is a Shannon College graduate who grew his career with Radisson Dublin and South Africa and returned as GM at The Athlone Springs.

Donal Moran returns to the City Centre as Restaurant General Manager at The Riddler Café and Restaurant at Christchurch and Ian Keegan brings a wealth of hospitality knowledge and a personal touch to Number 31 on Lesson Close.

Samantha Gallagher is now Rooms Manager with House Dublin who have 16 new boutique style hotel rooms in the city centre. Samantha is no stranger to the rooms business having worked with Best Western Hotels and Grafton Capital Hotel.

In the world of catering, Rachel Connon is now Deputy Manager at Google HQ here in Dublin. Rachel was previously Area Manager with Construction Catering. Corporate Catering Services welcomes Julie Mannion to their team. Julie is the Regional Operations Manager for the Leinster area having most recently worked for Aramark in their Avoca Dunboyne store.

Dublin also welcomes Dnata, one of the largest inflight catering providers. It is part of the Emirates Group and has recently opened its newest catering facility at Dublin Airport and will focus on catering for premium, long-haul carriers. Sarah Fizelle who had previously held the position of Executive Head Chef in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk, has changed career direction and joined Dnata as their Quality Manager. Wayne Kenny, the Michelin Star chef has joined Dnata as their Executive Chef creating a Michelin Star experience in the sky. Wayne is well known from his time at L’Ecrivain Restaurant, Chapter One Restaurant and most recently Head Chef at Taste at Rustic.

This spring will also see the doors open at the new Iveagh Garden Hotel. Anna Nugent joins the hotel as Corporate Sales & Events Manager. This 152 bedroom hotel will provide luxury accommodation in central Dublin and have some exceptional views of the Iveagh Garden. Anna was previously Events Manager at Barberstown Castle.

Congratulations to Aisling O’Connor who has returned to her native Limerick as Meeting and Event Sales Coordinator at the Limerick Strand Hotel. Aisling is no stranger to this industry having moved from Moyvalley Hotel in Kildare.

Maud Geraud has joined Alainn Tours in Sligo as part of their reservations team. Maud moved to Ireland from her native France where she had studied and worked in the travel and tourism industry.

In the Munster Region Ciara Barry, has recently joined Oriel House as Sales and Marketing Executive. She previously held the position of Wedding, Events and Sales Coordinator in Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Cork.

Mary Duffy joins the team at World Meeting of Families, an international event coming to Ireland in August this year. Having worked at Glasnevin Cemetery Museum for the 1916 celebrations, Mary is looking forward to working on another historic Irish event.

Diana Harrison is now the Group Assistant Human Resources Manager at The Grand Hotel in Malahide and The Marine Hotel in Sutton. Diana had previously worked with the Maldron Group.
