Marc Mac Closkey has moved to the UK to take up the GM position at The Castle Hotel Taunton, Somerset. Marc was a member of the opening team for the Four Seasons in Dublin and he also opened the former Lisloughrey Lodge in Cong, Co. Mayo.

Moving further afield is Maura Curran as she takes up her role as House Manager and Head Chef for the owners of Mission Hill Estate and Winery, who are featured in our Newsletter this month. A native of Dublin, Maura previously worked in both the British and Greek Ambassadors Residences and for many private business individuals.

Karl Reinhardt is the new General Manager of the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa, Karl is well known in The West from his time as GM at the Shannon Oaks in Portumna and the Connemara Coast Hotel.

Here in Dublin, Fiona Dunne is the new General Manager of the Louis Fitzgerald Arlington Hotel at O’Connell Bridge. Originally from Co. Clare, Fiona has worked with Masterchefs Munster and was an Instructor with Failte Ireland . She was last with The Dandelion Bar and Winters Bar before taking the helm at The Arlington Hotel.

Katrina Joyce joins Philip Rock and the team at The Village at Lyons in her new role as Corporate Sales Manager. Katrina has a wealth of sales experience from her time with Fitzpatrick Design Collection and O’Callaghan Hotels.

Moving back to her native Cork, Averil Smith joins the sales team at Carlton Hotel Kinsale. Averil was most recently part of the sales team at The Mount Wolseley Hotel, having worked with Excellent Choice Catering & Events and Cork International Airport Hotel.

Cormac O’Sullivan is the new Leisure Centre Manager at Fitzpatrick’s Castle Hotel in Killiney. Cormac has been in the leisure and fitness industry for many years and was a member of the senior management teams of both Energie Fitness Group and Jackie Skelly Fitness.

Ron Pfuhlmann is the new Head Chef at the Station House Hotel in Clifton Connemara. Ron, who is originally from Germany, was previously with The Shannon Oaks Hotel. Ron also worked in The Ramada Hotel in Oranmore and The Seafood Academy in Galway.

One of Donegal’s best known personalities and showbiz presenter on TV3's Ireland AM programme, Noel Cunningham, has been appointed as Customer Relations Manager for Harvey’s Point Hotel. Noel’s first major project at Harvey’s Point will be the ‘Search for a Star’ contest, when the hotel will audition acts for its international Summer Cabaret.
