Area Sales & Marketing Executive

We have an excellent growth opportunity in the southeast of Ireland for a truly talented and proven Sales Executive with this popular hotel group. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager and Area General Manager, the Area Sales & Marketing Executive will play a key part in maximising sales and managing marketing activities across the group.
Key responsibilities:
Strategy
- Develop an advertising and promotional plan for the group
- Plan and implement sales strategies for the group
- Profile and drive new clients and prospects
- Achieve a high profile for the brand in the marketplace through regular client meeting and entertainment at the properties
- Liaise closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager & Area General Manager regarding all sales activities of current and potential future properties
Sales and Business Development
- Increase overall sales through penetration of the corporate marketplace and booking agents for the group
- Responsibility for achieving sales turnover on annual budget figures for the group
- Work closely with the operating departments and other properties to maximise service opportunities and thereby increase group revenues
- Manage the accurate completion of all RFPs/ FIT/ Tour Series contracts solicitations, ensuring they are within budgeted guidelines
- Monitor and keep record of all brochure stock for Sales Department
- Develop and expand F&B business at all properties with particular emphasis on bar / restaurant sales and C&B
- Develop an amicable and personable business relationship with clients, agencies and staff
- Conduct 100 Telesales Calls per week & 20 Face to Face Meetings
Marketing /Digital Marketing
- Liaise with the Area Sales & Marketing Manager on marketing material for Corporate Sales activity
- Manage and sustain all internet/GDS activity
- Monitor the market and frequently complete competitor analyses, incorporating this into target setting the following year
- Work closely with the Area Sales & Marketing Manager to regularly manage the update of all corporate content on the group’s websites, ensuring all information is up-to-date
- Support the Area Sales & Marketing Manager with all digital marketing, ensuring an effective and positive online presence on all forums
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of two years’ experience as Sales Executive in quality hotel properties, brand experience a strong advantage
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding all sales targets and goals
- Proven ability to develop an amicable and personable business relationships with clients, agencies and staff
- Ability to work under pressure and within strict deadlines
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism and integrity at all times
