This distinguished Galway hotel is seeking a dynamic Bars Manager to oversee exceptional bar operations and deliver the warm, memorable service they are known for. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to elevate both guest experience and team performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure exceptional bar operations with consistent standards and a welcoming, guest-focused atmosphere.
• Lead and develop the bar team, ensuring great communication, strong service knowledge, and a positive, supportive workplace.
• Own bar financial performance, managing costs, maximising revenue opportunities, and ensuring accurate billing.
• Manage stock and beverage controls, from ordering and security to minimising waste and monitoring discrepancies.
• Oversee equipment and systems, ensuring all bar assets are safe, functional and properly used.
• Handle administration including rosters, timesheets, forecasts, reports, appraisals and daily briefings.
• Maintain rigorous cash handling, health & safety, and hotel policy compliance.
• Champion staff development through ongoing training, mentoring and coaching.
• Collaborate with Sales, Management and the Kitchen on menu development, promotions and revenue-driving initiatives.
• Continuously improve the bar experience, bringing fresh ideas that elevate service and enhance guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate:

• Proven experience as a Bars Manager or senior bar supervisor in a four-star or luxury hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in team development, training and performance management.
• Expertise in bar operations, stock control, cost management and revenue optimisation.
• Excellent organisational, administrative and cash-handling skills.
• Outstanding guest service and communication abilities, with a polished, professional and welcoming presence.
• Knowledge of health & safety, HACCP and hotel compliance standards.
• Proactive, innovative and committed to continuous improvement.
