Business Development Manager

This leading hotel group is currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to source and win new local and global business for the cluster, collaborating with senior sales management to ensure that objectives are achieved in the Sales business plan.
Key responsibilities:
- Represent the hotels at sales team meetings, inrnal & external customer-led events as appropriate.
- Execute a proactive sales plan to develop and nurture new accounts across all owned segments for the hotels.
- Identification and management of new opportunities in the market in line with hotels’ strategy and across the wider group portfolio.
- Collaborate with Account Management Team to nurture existing, and secure new opportunities.
- Instil a culture of cross-selling, referrals and sharing of leads.
- Adopt strategic approach for key segments and identify opportunities to drive revenue and reduce costs.
- Participate fully in all sales activities including telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, fam trips, social events, and overseas sales trips, as necessary.
- Collaborate with senior sales management on rate strategy, budget planning, forecasting for owned segments and identifying & analysing opportunities.
- Undertake monthly tracking of corporate accounts to monitor production, identify decreases and take necessary action to remedy.
- Collaborate with senior sales management on the analysis of GDS production reports & market intelligence information to develop new leads.
- Timely production of monthly & ad hoc reports.
- Execute actions from quarterly sales activity plans to support business needs.
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum two years’ experience working within a similar position in hotels
- Effective communicator
- Commercially aware with strong analytical skills and able to understand & identify business trends
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Good experience and ability across a variety of sales tools, ie CRM, BI Tool, Market Intelligence Tools, Solver
- Sales-focused and results-driven
- Strong negotiating skills
- Ability to develop and build long-lasting relationships through account management and promote cross-selling across the group
- Experience of working with global clients & agencies
- Knowledge of the Dublin market is desirable
