This stylish café in Co Kildare takes great pride in their menu of wholesome, delicious dishes featuring creative world flavours. They now seek a dedicated, experienced Café Manager who shares their love of good food and great service. This role is responsible for the day to day running of the café and catering business, ensuring that it is a profit-driven, customer-focussed and team-orientated operation. 

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Quality and customer service: ensure a quality service and product is consistently delivered by all teams (floor and kitchen), ensure all customer queries and feedback are dealt with and communicated throughout the team, ensure restaurant environment is clean, tidy and fully stocked at all times
• Communication, teamwork and leadership: lead by example, promote positive environment of teamwork, communicate and build positive relations with other department teams, prepare reporting as required
• Sales & Marketing: work with Sales team to maximise all sales and marketing opportunities including upselling and cross-selling
• Finance and cost control: seek to minimise cost and maximise profit while still providing high quality service, assist with budget preparation, provide accurate weekly time sheets
• Health and Safety: ensure all regulations and procedures are communicated and observed regarding hygiene, fire, health & safety
• Human Resources: recruitment, training & development, rosters, employee issues (disciplinaries, grievances etc), employment legislation

The ideal candidate will have at least four years’ experience as a Restaurant/Café Manager in a similar environment. Must demonstrate genuine passion for healthy food and good eye for presentation. Further candidate attributes include:

• Strong understanding of budgets, forecasts, GP's and KPI's
• Strong operations and people management experience
• Excellent communication skills and superb customer care
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
