Job Title: C&E Sales Manager

This chic and stylish Dublin four star property has an opening for a super-motivated, dynamic C&E Sales Manager. Reporting directly to the DOSM, this role is responsible for managing and coordinating all conferences and events in the hotel from enquiry stage through to the handover to the operations team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the C&E Sales Team, working closely with the Sales & Marketing Team.
- Ensure that all enquires are responded to in a professionally and timely manner.
- Manage the Sales and Catering function in Alkimii Events, ensuring all events are entered correctly to produce a concise and accurate function sheet for each event.
- Manage the billing and invoicing for all Events including final billing and any adjustments.
- Host a weekly operations meeting where all aspects of upcoming conferences and events are discussed in details with the relevant departments.
- Track all enquiries, ensuring the client receives a quote/response within the same working day and maintain an effective follow up system to convert business.
- Conduct all site visits for conferences and events.
- Liaise with the Revenue Manager/Reservations Manger on all block bookings of bedrooms for conferences and events.
- Liaise with the Banqueting Operations Manager and Head Chef to communicate any changes to upcoming events.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with existing bookers and develop relationships with new customers.
- Maintain an effective filing system in the office.
- Carry out post event follow up and aftersales telephone calls.
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as per reporting schedule.
- Forecast Conference & Events revenue weekly and ensure budget revenue is achieved.
The ideal candidate will be a positive, pro-active, outgoing and energetic individual with a “can do” attitude. Will have at least two years’ experience in a similar role - Events Manager, C&E Sales Manager, Reactive Sales Manager – and will have a proven track record in converting conference and event enquires to confirmed sales. Previous operations experience an advantage. Further candidate attributes include:
