This national membership organisation focused on the hospitality industry is looking to recruit a Director of People Services to lead and influence the entire People aspect of the organisation. This role is responsible for co-ordinating and assisting in the development and delivery of human resource projects, plans and tactics that facilitate continuous improvement and showcase best practice in the industry, as well as supporting members in a strategic manner. This role reports to the CEO.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the review, delivery and development of strategic HR initiatives aligned to the business strategy, as well as driving the continuous improvement of HR processes & procedures.
- Advise and support the organisation on complex employee relations issues, ensuring they are dealt with in line with company policy & procedures and risks are controlled and mitigated as necessary.
- Work in collaboration with working groups and other key stakeholders to support achievement of the business plan and pre-agreed objectives through organisational design, providing advice and challenge as necessary.
- Support members through researching, developing, writing and updating HR policies, procedures and methods.
- Deliver a high level of service and ensure that HR initiatives are achieved.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR developments & employment law and provide suitable interpretation to stakeholders and the team within the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience in a senior HR role, ideally within the hospitality industry. Will have deep experience of developing and implementing HR policies & procedures, as well as strong understanding of employment law and related legislation. Further key attributes include:

- Experience of working with managers to develop and deliver the people agenda.
- Demonstrate a high level of credibility, integrity and resilience.
- Excellent time management, organisational and problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail.
- Experience with Change Management would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience managing and developing cultural change through effective coaching and mentoring.
