Duty Manager

This luxury four hotel set on the idyllic Irish coast is currently recruiting a Duty Manager to assist with all aspects of hotel operations. This is a very hands-on role requiring an experienced hospitality professional. Subsidised staff accommodation can be arranged with this role.
Overview of key responsibilities:
- Ensure that all areas of the hotel meet the hotel’s standards of quality, service and safety.
- Ensure the highest standard of care is given to all guests and customers.
- Work with the management team to optimize profits and increase sales, promoting new and diverse business.
- Provide support to the General Manager for all hotel operations and work directly with and support all Heads of Department in all aspects of running the hotel.
- Assist in training & development of the hotel team in conjunction with HOD's & HR Manager.
- Responsible for overseeing the smooth running of all weddings, conferences & functions in conjunction with Operations Manager/General Manager.
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in duty management/hotel operations in a quality 4/5-star property.
- Proven track record in managing functions and events.
- Excellent customer-focused manner at all times.
- Proactive positive attitude, strong strategic thinking skill.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Flexibility with working hours.
- Strong PC skills/MS Office.
