Job Title: Front Office Manager

This luxury four star hotel is a very busy Dublin destination, and they now require a highly experienced Front Office Manager to ensure the smooth operations of their Reception, Concierge and Nights team. This is a key role, working closely with other hotel depts (Sales, Reservations, Accounts etc) as required in order to ensure total guest satisfaction and achieve dept and hotel targets. Key responsibilities within the role include:

  • Ensure all staff offer excellent customer service to hotel standard at all times.
  • Ensure smooth daily Reception operations (group arrivals, overbookings, VIP guests etc)
  • Ensure Reception team are familiar with VIP and regular guests.
  • Monitor and ensure yield management programme is in operation.
  • Ensure all guest requests are dealt with efficiently and followed up.
  • Be aware of external factors that may affect business.
  • Have full knowledge of special rates and packages and ensure all team are updated with any new promotions.
  • Hotel show rounds.
  • Achieve budget/dept targets and motivate staff to attain these.
  • Assist the Finance Department in dealing with queries or guest issues.
  • Staff training and development.
  • Liaise with all other department heads and help in the smooth running of hotel operations.
  • Attend HOD meetings.
  • FO reporting as required.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience as Front Office Manager, preferably in a luxury four star property. Must demonstrate excellent organisational and leadership skills with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding dept targets. A consummate hotelier, you will be able to efficiently resolve guest/hotel issues with a calm, professional demeanour at all times.
