This luxury hotel group is currently recruiting a Group Director of Sales to lead all sales efforts and execute the overall group strategy, prioritising business generation and individual hotel revenue goals. This role will also provide leadership to the Events and Revenue Management teams, achieving set contacts and conversion targets and providing guidance to the reactive events and reservations teams to achieve assigned revenue goals. This role reports to the Group Commercial Director and Joint Managing Director.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to ensure all processes are integrated.
  • Sustain and grow revenues across all products in line with revenue targets.
  • Manage key accounts for the brand with strong focus on the luxury leisure and high-end MICE and Corporate segments.
  • Construct and implement a key account plan for all priority accounts.
  • Train reactive team to research, generate, qualify and follow up leads.
  • Reach pre-agreed activity and revenue targets. Motivate the wider team to achieve the best results possible in their roles.
  • Identify key areas for improvement in the sales process.
  • Understand revenue management functions and account profitability.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads.
  • Attend weekly sales meeting and monitor weekly reports.
  • Develop strong partnerships with organisations local to the properties to further increase brand/product awareness.
  • Serve as an authority on sales processes and sales contracting.

The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced hotel sales professional with at least three years’ experience at Director level (DOS, DOSM or equivalent role). Must have deep account management experience and proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth. Professional sales training a strong advantage.
