Job Title: Group Ecommerce Manager

We have a great role available with this growing Irish hotel group for an experienced hotel sales manager with demonstrable online sales expertise. The Group Ecommerce Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s overall ecommerce strategy to assist in delivering the group’s business goals to grow profitable revenue.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create a 3-year Ecommerce strategy that will deliver budgeted revenue and deliver profitability.
  • Drive overall Ecommerce strategy of all on-line booking channels for all revenue centres.
  • Ensure the success of the company’s on-line brand presence across multi platforms (website, CRM and social) – brand awareness, brand presence and conversion.
  • Responsible for the effective use and management of the overall digital marketing budget to maximise existing programmes and identify new online opportunities.
  • Attend industry events as company ambassador.
  • Work with the content management system to ensure property content/offers are up to date and consistent with brand strategies.
  • Ensure all online offers are strategic, relevant and converting in-line with budgets.
  • With the Digital Marketing Executive, management of brand and graphic design agency in relation to online collateral.
  • Successful delivery of KPI’s across all echannels.
  • Detailed sales analyses and reporting.
  • Growth and management of CRM, effective segmentation.
  • Management of guest database, ensuring compliance with GDPR guidelines.
  • Regular, effective communications with all stakeholders – agencies, hotel dept teams, senior management – ensuring clear understanding of all goals, targets and objectives.
  • Develop and manage the Digital Marketing Executive on the execution of strategic online marketing plans across all channels, as well as guiding and managing the wider Sales team in conjunction with HR (appraisals, training & development, disciplinaries etc).

The ideal candidate will hold a Digital Marketing/Marketing qualification and will have at least two years’ experience in the hotel industry in a related role. Must demonstrate strong understanding of online marketing strategies and tools as well as website management; content management and web analytics experience a plus. Further attributes include:

  • Analytical mind-set – ability to provide insight from statistics and see opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-function teams.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and website/ecommerce tools.
