Job Title: Head Chef

We have a great opportunity for a committed Head Chef looking to escape the late hours of the restaurant/hospitality world. This leading catering firm requires a Head Chef to be responsible for the smooth kitchen operations at this prime South Dublin site that includes extensive C&B facilities. An overview of responsibilities includes:

  • Design and develop menus in line with company standards.
  • Oversee the Kitchen, ensuring weekly menu preparation, food ordering and stock take.
  • Ensure the highest food standards and innovation across the kitchen team.
  • Ensure food hygiene standards are implemented and recorded as per company procedures, E.H.O, Q.A, and H.A.C.C.P requirements.
  • Ensure an excellent level of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, ensure COSHH regulations are up to date and guidelines in the use of PPE are accurate.
  • Cost control in line with budget
  • Stock control/maintenance
  • Kitchen reporting: daily purchases, weekly stock take, waste tracking, payroll etc.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety systems are in place according to legislation
  • Deal with any customer concerns/issues
  • Team training and development

Hours are primarily Monday to Friday daytime, occasional late finish at 7pm, and only one weekend per month.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience as Head Chef of a large hotel/venue/dining destination with events/banqueting business. Must be a talented and creative chef with excellent communication skills and proven track record of effectively managing a kitchen team to their best performance.
