Job Title: Head Chef

Salary: €50,000 – €55,000

This luxury four star hotel in Cork boasts a variety of F&B options including a popular destination restaurant, stylish afternoon tea and busy banqueting dept. They now seek an experienced and talented Head Chef to ensure the smooth operations of their busy kitchens. This role is responsible for the preparation, production and service of food to the highest standard.

Further responsibilities include:

  • To work in an organised, hygienic manner; ensuring HACCP regulations are adhered to at all times
  • Assist in training existing and new employees in line with standards
  • To manage all Chefs and Kitchen staff in the areas of development and productivity
  • Be responsible for HACCP management, budgeting, forecasting and rostering
  • Have a passion for and genuine interest in food

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience as a Head Chef / Executive Sous Chef in a luxury four star hotel with significant banqueting business. Further candidate attributes include:

  • Ability to adjust to high pressure situations as they arise in a busy kitchen
  • Excellent communication skills and strong people management
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP
  • Menu development experience and creative culinary skills
