This leading Irish retail group is currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Head of Food and Beverage to join the team to enhance the retail experience through the cafes. This role can be based in either Leinster or Munster. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a food and beverage expert to join an innovative company with exciting plans to grow the business further. The Head of Food & Beverage is a senior professional who will assume full responsibility for the successful operations of five food and beverage locations. The main activities within this role include:

  • Develop strong relationships and mutually develop and lead a high-performance team delivering world class F&B services.
  • Be responsible for successful commercial performance of the F&B operation over the five locations.
  • Be responsible for the management of the F&B services and processes that support the company’s core business.
  • Collaborate with other departments including HR, Marketing, Finance and IT.
  • Focus on using best business practice to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.
  • Review the effectiveness of processes in place and explore the introduction of technology to enhance the customer experience in retail, food and beverage.
  • Create financial and all relevant reporting, in line with business requirements.

The successful candidate will have a deep background in hospitality with at least four years’ experience in F&B/operations management in a multi-site role. Will hold a bachelor’s degree in business in hotel, catering, and hospitality, or equivalent. Must demonstrate experience of implementing business strategies with overall responsibility for P&L management and accountability. 

Further candidate expertise:

  • Proven track record of effectively managing large teams.
  • Knowledge of and interest in different food trends and cuisines.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and legislation.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of HACCP and ISO systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of benchmark HR practice, employment law, and HR policies and procedures.
  • Experienced in utilising technology to enhance service operations and the customer experience.
