Job Title: Inventory Manager

Location: Co Dublin

Salary: €50,000 – €55,000+

This leading tour operator enjoys a great reputation for its engaging and unique tours across Europe. They now seek an Inventory Manager to help the business secure and efficiently manage all the ticket inventory required to operate the tours.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Purchasing / Buying: manage and support the team of buyers, collaborate with other depts on ticket need forecasting and buyer target setting, ensure Purchasing team meets all targets and budgets, optimise buying strategies

Inventory Management & Optimisation: work closely with other depts to understand business requirements, work with team to monitor purchased tickets and limit ticket wastage, manage ticket inventory and tracking processes

Admin and Ground Operations Support: work with IT teams to develop enhanced systems, train staff to support ground operations team/guides in troubleshooting any ticketing issues/questions, implement and manage a quality assurance process to reduce/eliminate ticketing mistakes

Team Management: manage staff rotas and holidays, coaching and development of team members, review department procedures and drive continuous process improvement

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in data analytics, supply chain management or business management and will have at least five years’ experience in a similar role within a tour operator, booking agency or distribution company, with three years’ team management experience. Further candidate attributes include:

  • Strong target driven mindset and proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas/targets
  • Strong analytical capabilities, ability to evaluate, analyse and present data trends to key stakeholders
  • A persistent attention to detail and a high level of comfort in working with numbers and data from diverse sources
  • Proven track record of collaborative leadership and management style with the ability to foster a positive environment in which people succeed and grow
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite of tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
