Job Title: Junior Event Executive

We have an excellent opportunity for progression for an up-and-coming events or hospitality professional with strong admin and organisational skills.

This leading event management company is recruiting a Junior Event Executive to support the operations team in the professional delivery of international conferences. This is a key role within the planning team, ensuring all delegate information and requirements are captured in an efficient and accurate manner.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Building and designing virtual event platforms (training provided)
  • Creating on-line registration sites for delegates, speaker, sponsors
  • Creating and managing updates for client webpage
  • Dealing directly with large volumes of delegate queries via email/phone on a daily basis and effectively managing workloads
  • Management of delegate databases and hotel accommodation blocks
  • Creating Abstract Management portal as required (training provided)
  • Financial reconciliation of delegate payments (supported by the Finance Manager)
  • Working with internal and external providers such as AV, catering, design and digital as required
  • Assisting in the logistical planning and execution of successful live and virtual events in Ireland and abroad
  • Handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Enhancing client & supplier relationships
  • Travel as required, delivering customer support and on-site registration
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team 

The ideal candidate will have a background in the events/hospitality industry and a minimum of one years’ experience in an events/customer service role along with the following:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • High level of IT skills, especially in MS Office (Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail with an eye for execution
  • Proactive approach to achieving deadlines/managing workload
  • Genuine passion for the events industry
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Natural team player with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with registration/other systems (Aventri/Cvent/Event Pro/WordPress or similar) is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
