Job Title: Meeting and Events Executive

We have an excellent progression opportunity for an experienced Event Coordinator with this luxury four star hotel. This role focuses on event planning and implementation in liaison with the hotel operations team.

The Meeting & Events Executive must maintain open communication between clients, have excellent attention to detail and be a highly organised individual, ensuring prompt and exceptional customer care at all times and providing clear and concise reports as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all event, wedding and conference enquiries in a timely fashion (email, phone, walk-in)
  • Ensure a timely and accurate response to all other customer enquiries, providing information, quotations, proposals and contracts
  • Ensure detailed files are maintained
  • Negotiate packages and drive sales
  • Manage client expectations and always over deliver
  • Handle all customer enquiries and complaints according to the hotel’s expectations ensuring guests are happy on departure
  • Ensure that customer comments are relayed to the department for follow-up
  • Actively promote events within the hotel and aim to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Be aware of competitors, packages, product, marketing
  • Daily administration duties in the Events office
  • Attend off site events where required
  • Sales responsibilities: showrounds, upselling, soliciting new business (cold calling, telephone sales, mail shots etc)
  • Preparing and maintaining updated and accurate administrative documentation.

The ideal candidate will have at least one years’ experience as an M&E Executive or two years’ experience as Event Coordinator within a luxury four star hotel with busy M&E department. Candidates must also have/be:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive outlook
  • Standards driven and customer focused
  • An excellent command of the English language
  • Excellent organisational skills
