Job Title: Meeting & Events Coordinator

We are currently recruiting an organised and passionate Meeting & Events Coordinator to join the team of this popular four star hotel in Co Carlow. The M&E Coordinator is responsible for dealing with all wedding and events enquires in a professional, efficient and customer-focused manner.
Key role responsibilities:
- Taking bookings for meetings, weddings and events with specific emphasis on maximizing revenue at every opportunity
- Handling all guest queries in relation to meetings and events bookings
- Confirm booking details in writing to all clients whilst confirming payment details
- Conducting client meetings/showrounds
- Communicating any special requests to specific department and managers
- Manage the administration and distribution of all function sheets/menus
- Manage the full cycle of booking from initial enquiry to billing
- Manage target sales calls to corporate bookers
- Liaise with reception and accounts to ensure correct billing of all weddings and events
- Attend wedding fairs and trade shows as required
The successful candidate will have at least one years’ experience in a similar role in a 4* hotel. Previous experience in a sales role would be an advantage. Further candidate requirements and attributes include:
- Experience using a PMS (HotSoft an advantage)
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills
- Display excellent attention to detail
- Have the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Have an excellent telephone manner
- Be sales-focused
- Be a team player
- Be fluent in both verbal and written English
