MICE Sales Manager

This Dublin five star property is looking for an experienced Sales Manager who is a MICE specialist to further develop their MICE and Corporate business segments.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of annual MICE sales plan and proactively implement with the team.
- Manage own portfolio of existing and new local and national accounts.
- Solicit new business in the domestic MICE market.
- Identify and develop new business in the corporate groups segment, targeting domestic clients.
- Seek to maximise all revenue opportunities from existing and new accounts through strategic planning and effective account management.
- Participate in regular sales activities: client visits, site inspections, fam trips, trade shows, sales missions, networking events etc.
- Assist in the completion of regular SWOT analysis on competitor hotels.
- Manage sales projects as per business requirements.
- Monitor and report on local market conditions.
- Understand and implement the hotel’s yield management strategies for Rooms, Meetings & Events, Food & Beverage outlets.
- Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing as required.
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of two years' proactive / MICE hotel sales experience in a target-driven sales environment.
- Bachelor’s degree with strong business acumen performance.
- Strong administrative skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the Irish and Dublin corporate market.
- Knowledge of conference agents / DMCs / PCOs.
- Sales-focused, target and results-driven, with a proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Must be a self-starter and strong closer.
- Excellent levels of personal motivation and organisation.
- Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written reports.
- A commercial awareness and good understanding of yield management.
- Confident, ambitious and pro-active, seeks out challenges and is driven by success
- Must have the capacity to respond to a fast-paced environment, with proven multi-tasking ability in a changing environment.
