Job Title: Pastry Chef

We are currently recruiting a highly experienced Pastry Chef for this hip new restaurant opening soon in city centre Dublin. This is a great opportunity to get in at the ground level of what promises to be one of 2024’s hottest new openings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • The smooth and efficient running of the pastry section
  • Management and training of the pastry team 
  • Menu, product and recipe development 
  • Creation and implementation of section SOPs
  • Ensure consistency and quality of the pastry offering
  • Manage pastry budget, optimising costs
  • Ordering / stock management / inventory
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are observed

Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum of four years’ experience as Pastry Chef in a quality dining destination, pastry qualifications a strong advantage
  • Superior culinary skills and technique
  • Strong leadership skills with positive management style and proven ability to motivate a team
  • Deep experience of creating and implementing innovative pastry menus / offering
  • Genuine passion for pastry, keeping abreast of the latest techniques as well as customer trends  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Opening experience an advantage
