Are you interested in pursuing a career in event management? This leading Professional Conference Organiser is currently recruiting a Project Assistant to support the Project Managers in delivering a seamless conference service for their clients. This is a fantastic entry level opportunity for someone with a background in hospitality and office administration as well as digital marketing exposure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of online registration for delegates, sponsors and speakers using online registration software
- Managing a large volume of email correspondence as the first point of contact for conference delegates
- Responsible for writing and designing marketing emails and social media posts
- Day-to-day maintenance of conference websites
- Management of accommodation blocks, tour bookings and assisting with social event management
- Management of basic conference finances, including invoicing and bank reconciliation
- Providing onsite support at events
The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in a hospitality setting with administrative experience, hospitality/event management qualification an advantage. Must have solid grasp of digital marketing with experience of social media management. Further key attributes include:
- Fluent English along with excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent MS office skills are essential
- A positive can-do attitude, with expert attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
- Strong organisation skills and the desire to work as part of a close-knit team
- An ability to build and maintain excellent relations with clients, suppliers and colleagues
- Event marketing skills – a knowledge of WordPress, Adobe In-Design or Photoshop would be an advantage
