This five star property is currently recruiting a Restaurant Manager to oversee the smooth operation of their fine dining restaurant and room service, ensuring faultless service delivery. This role requires a dynamic, polished F&B professional with a hands-on approach who will lead by example.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure team has all training required to carry out tasks to five star standard (ie induction, skills training)
- Carry out on going work performance assessments and annual appraisals with team members
- Attend/Lead meetings and training sessions as required
- Roster management
- Ensure all areas are cleaned on daily basis and maintained in a hygienic manner
- Carry out pre-service briefings of the menu, type of reservations, VIP’s etc.
- Promote in-house sales i.e. Restaurant, Bar, Room Service, Lobby, etc.
- Ensure orders are taken promptly and clearly
- Be aware of and communicate any special requirements of guests
- Deal with complaints/queries in an attentive and courteous manner and inform the Manager on Duty of action taken and any follow up required
- Check frequently that guests are content with meal and ensure that all guests receive polite and courteous attention
- Ensure proper table setting and clearing procedures are followed
- Ensure all food leaving the kitchen is of agreed standard
- Ensure all guests are billed correctly and thanked for their business
- Ensure cash handling procedures are followed at all times
- Stock control / management
- Be responsible for wine stocks and ensure control procedures are maintained
- Ensure healthy interdepartmental cooperation and communication
The successful candidates will have at least three years’ experience as Restaurant Manager within a 4/5 star hotel and will have a hands-on, proactive, inspirational managerial style. Further candidate attributes include:
