Job Title: Rooms Division Manager

This leading Galway hotel is currently recruiting an experienced Rooms Division Manager to ensure a memorable guest experience is delivered for every guest while meeting departmental revenue and profit goals. Leading the Front Office and Housekeeping departments, this role reports directly to the General Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish a loyal and well-maintained regular guest base that is well looked after and treated according to their individual needs
- Handle any guest comments and ensure appropriate follow up takes place and is communicated to all relevant departments
- Ensure all facilities as well as operational equipment are well maintained and regularly inspected
- Ensure all first-time guests receive a personalized and warm welcome and have a memorable stay
- Coordinate with all relevant departments to ensure guest requests are acted upon promptly
- Inspect guest rooms on a rotating basis
- Brief Hotel Manager/General Manager on all arriving/departing VIP guests
- Performance management of all Rooms Division departmental heads
- Supervision of Night Team, including shift coverage as required
- HR responsibilities: team recruitment, training & development, annual reviews, disciplinaries
- Ensure clear communication structure is set within the Front Office
- Work in conjunction with other departments and managers as required on all service/property issues
- Be a key driver of the upselling and incremental revenue programmes
- Set and achieve departmental goals and contribute to achievement of hotel goals
- Conduct departmental meetings
- Ensure team maintains appropriate standards of conduct, dress, uniform, hygiene and appearance
- Carry out duties in line with the Hotel Incident and Crisis Manual
- Ensure a clear Opera PMS contingency programme is in place and adhered to
The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience as Front of House/Rooms Division Manager or equivalent within a large, full-service four star hotel. Must demonstrate excellent team management skills and be an authority on guest service standards. Will have a proven track record of meeting all department financial and performance targets.
