Job Title: Rooms Division Manager

We are currently recruiting a Rooms Division Manager for this academic institution. This role is responsible for the efficient management of the Rooms Division (Front Office and Accommodation) with key responsibilities including:

  • Room allocations, including large group bookings
  • Interdepartmental communications (ie accommodation, reception, operations etc)
  • Customer service: to include prompt resolution of customer issues
  • Team recruitment, development and training
  • Competitor analysis and awareness of relevant market trends
  • Finance (in conjunction with the finance dept): payment allocations, debt control, reconciliations, financial controls, assisting with budget and forecast

Candidates must be available for work according to business needs with summer being peak season requiring weekend/shift work, while rest of the year enjoys a more steady, “regular” work schedule. However, this is a primarily daytime role and so would suit a hotel professional seeking to escape late/night shift work. Hybrid work model possible after completion of probationary period.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience as Front of House / Rooms Division Manager (or equivalent role) within a large four star property, group/cluster experience an advantage. Must have strong understanding of front office and accommodation dept dynamics, ie managing room turnover process etc.

You will be an extremely organised manager, able to work under pressure, with a proven track record of effective team leadership and standards training. Must demonstrate excellent communication, administration and IT skills.
