Job Title: Sales and Marketing Manager

Salary: €48,000 – €55,000

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Sales & Marketing Manager who wishes to work within a growing Group.  The Sales & Marketing Manager will also be responsible for co-ordinating the Corporate, Banqueting and Events Sales team.

The successful candidate will have the ability to retain and maintain existing business but also have the drive and ability to attract and develop new business opportunities. This candidate will work with the Group Sales & Marketing Manager to oversee the development and implementation of the sales & marketing strategy.

Main Duties:

  • Increase overall sales of the hotel through penetration of the corporate marketplace, booking agents and conference business;
  • Plan and manage the day-to-day corporate sales function to ensure that revenue and profitability are maximised and that all clients receive exceptional sales service, encouraging repeat business;
  • Develop a hotel advertising and promotional plan, which is effective in terms of cost and market penetration;
  • Achieve a high profile for yourself and the hotel in the market place;
  • Plan and implement sales and marketing strategies for the hotel;
  • Responsible for achieving annual budgeted sales turnover by successfully managing all sales channels of the hotel;
  • Liaise with the Revenue Manager to set up and effectively monitor market segmentations, key clients, repeat business and guest history for the                 hotel;
  • To liaise closely with the General Manager and Group Sales & Marketing Manager in all sales and marketing activities;
  • To maintain all internet/GDS activity;
  • Maintain and update the hotel website, ensuring effective communications with the host company;
  • Responsible for the effective execution of all online marketing;
  • Complete a competitor analysis frequently and ensure awareness of competitor activities and trends in the market;
  • Responsible for ensuring that all hotel marketing content are produced in line with Group brand guidelines;
  • Attend Head of Department meetings to keep the management team informed;
  • To develop an amicable, personable and professional business relationship with clients, agencies and staff;

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Sales & Marketing Manager. Sales and Marketing Management experience in a 4* Hotel Operation would be a distinct advantage.
  • Be highly motivated and driven to achieve targets;
  • Be forward focused and committed/innovative in increasing/generating revenue streams;
  • Excellent decision making and negotiation skills;
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills;
