Group Sales Manager

We are currently recruiting a Group Sales Manager for two highly accredited hotel destinations in Leinster region. Reporting to the Group Director of Sales, this role is responsible for developing new business and nurturing existing clients and customers within the corporate accommodation, meeting room, events and conference segment focusing predominantly on the Dublin marketplace.
Key Sales responsibilities:
- Carry out a target-driven number of face-to-face sales calls weekly.
- Responsible for account management, in particular with corporate and business groups.
- Manage and undertake local, regional and national activities including trade shows, networking events, workshops, presentations, etc.
- Target and develop new conference business through cold calling, developing contacts and networking.
- Conduct site visits with existing and potential customers.
- Review all past bookers and identify potential for future business.
- Review the daily arrivals lists and capture any potential leads for future business.
- Work with reservations and revenue management team to review forecasts and take action to drive more business into all market segments.
- Liaise with the other department managers to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Maximise revenue and achieve sales targets while managing key accounts.
- Carry out competitor research and analyse both locally and regionally.
- Manage and maintain all sales databases.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years’ experience as Sales Manager within a quality hotel establishment, with corporate, MICE and events sales experience preferably in the Dublin market.
