This is a great opportunity for a sales coordinator to further develop their career within a market-leading event catering company specialising in high-profile, high-end and high-volume events. The Sales & Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the event sales office, coordinating events, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities:
Administration
- Maintain the events diary, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Communicate with all departments within venue on event details and plans.
- Create and maintain event checklists.
- Keep records of event feedback.
- Liaise and work with various departments concerning event queries or specific client needs.
- Develop and maintain a database of existing and potential customers, identifying new business opportunities and following up on existing leads.
- Issue invoices and follow up on payments.
- Utilise Salesforce/ Delphi to maintain the client database and all account information and sales activities.
- Send out proposals and follow ups.
- Manage BEO’s and provide admin support to the full sales team.
Sales & Event Co-ordination
- Responsible for the successful execution of events from initial enquiry through to completion and follow up.
- Maintain excellent communication lines with all other functional departments within the business.
- Achieve monthly KPIs and targets as set out by the Sales and Events Manager.
- Research and target specific market segments through sales activities to deliver revenue targets.
- Seek and follow leads to acquire new business and drive the cycle from prospecting to closing sales.
- Assist with onsite event coordination.
- Monitor reactive enquires via phone and email.
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of one years’ experience as Sales/Events Coordinator or equivalent role within a high-volume, high-quality hospitality setting (hotel, venue, organisation)
- Self-motivated and pro-active in seeking out new business and building relationships
- Creative thinker who is a problem solver
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with fluent English
- Good communicator who enjoys meeting with new people and embracing new opportunities
- A passion for excellence customer service
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Highly organised and proficient in using Microsoft Office programs, experience in Delphi is desirable but not essential
- Enthusiastic and approachable personality
- Team player with the ability to multi-task
- Courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service
- Process driven and detail orientated
- Flexibility with work schedule, working 5 days over 7
