Sales Manager

This leading leisure travel company specialising in golf holidays is currently recruiting a Sales Manager with previous experience in golf sales. Looking after four venues, this role will oversee daily sales operations as well as being a key contributor to future growth plans.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist senior management in setting out sales targets and developing annual sales plan.
- Implement annual sales plan with the sales executives to drive key revenue streams for each venue: New Membership sales; Membership renewals; Green Fees; Tour Operator & International Guest Green Fees; Pro Shop Merchandise; Food & Beverage.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular sales reporting.
- Assist in developing and delivering tailor-made multi-product, multi-venue sales plans, working with wider company team to ensure maximum revenue and yield are achieved.
- Management of the Services Sales Team.
- Assist the sales team in delivering outstanding customer service to prospects/clients.
- Ensure the orderly and effective tracking of sales performance through Hubspot and overall Hubspot management.
- Working with venue management, ensure a seamless transition for clients during handover from sales to golf operations with all Corporate, Society, and Group bookings.
- Represent the company at key networking events as required.
- Conduct regular competitor, market, and product analysis to identify growth, pricing, and upsell opportunities.
- Support the marketing team in the design and implementation of an effective marketing strategy to attract new business (Membership, Society Golf, Corporate Golf, Tour Operators).
- Liaise and meet regularly with marketing to help drive effective lead generation programs and activities to support sales goals.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships/partnerships with key industry influencers to meet business goals.
- Attend venues regularly, working with venue management teams to ensure delivery of monthly budget targets and activity plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with co-workers, organisations, vendors/suppliers, and social groups to uncover opportunities, leads, and ultimately secure sales.
- Ensure a strict confidential approach applies to all aspects of the sales department, including outside office hours.
- Attend meetings at client venues/head office as required and discuss weekly/monthly activity plans and report results.
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a Sales Manager role within the hospitality / leisure travel sector with a proven track record in golf sales in particular.
- Excellent knowledge of the golf industry.
- Sales-focused, target and results-driven.
- Excellent levels of personal motivation and organisation.
- Effective communicator (written and verbal) to clients and colleagues.
- Confident, ambitious and pro-active, seeks out challenges and is driven by success.
- Problem solver with ability to think on feet and provide strong leadership to team.
- Full clean driving licence is essential.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
