Job Title: Sous Chef
Salary: €35,000 – €40,000
This luxury four-star hotel in Co Cork is currently recruiting an experienced Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. You will report to the Head Chef and assist them in managing the kitchen, maintaining high standards, and focusing on improving the culinary delivery. You will also deputise for the Head Chef in his absence.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience working as a Sous Chef within either a four- or five-star hotel kitchen with a focus on restaurant and banqueting.
- Have a passion for food and the food industry in general
- Be in the know of current major international food trends
- Have the ability to come up with creative and exciting new dishes
- Possess good leadership capabilities, including the ability to coach team members on the job
- Hold a good understanding of how to monitor and influence food cost within the operation
- Have the ability to maintain high operating standards and consistency across the kitchens
- Have excellent HACCP knowledge and experience
