Wedding & Events Coordinator

This luxury country destination is an Irish wedding favourite. They now seek a Wedding & Events Coordinator to maximise sales by securing weddings and events business, ensuring a memorable experience for wedding couples and guests alike.
Key responsibilities:
- To achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets by proactively identifying and securing new business through sales appointments and telesales calls, focussing on weddings, corporate room sales, meetings and events.
- To be fully aware of key competitors and carry out bi-annual competitor analysis, board spotting, rate-shopping and monitoring of their sales activity.
- To achieve monthly KPI’s in relation to wedding show arounds scheduled, wedding enquiries converted, cold calling to corporate sector, and show arounds.
- To produce weekly reports which will support weekly Sales & Marketing activities.
- Client prospecting, sales appointments and incoming site visits, daily management of email threads for weddings and events, competitor analysis, reporting.
- To enthusiastically sell weddings and events services as well as all products and services provided. To be the first point of contact for all event enquiries via telephone, e-mail and social media and to respond to all enquiries in a timely manner.
Candidate requirements:
- At least three years’ experience as Wedding / Event Coordinator in a busy, luxury destination (200+ weddings/year)
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and department goals
- Superior customer service skills with genuine guest-focused approach
- Meticulous planner with keen eye for detail and excellent multi-tasking ability
- Good systems knowledge, experience with Bright Biz an advantage
- Flexibility with weekend availability (typically one weekend off per month)
