This investment will reinstate a further eight bedrooms to the current 12-bedroom, exclusive venue. On completion in April 2020, the new 20-bedroom castle will continue to lead the way in the private hospitality industry and will allow approximately 50 guests (at capacity) the opportunity to stay in one of Ireland’s most luxurious castle estates.
Over the past number of years, the castle underwent an extensive investment and with meticulous attention to detail, it has been restored to its stunning and cherished former glory by renowned interior designer Arlene McIntyre of Ventura Design.
Each room of the castle is a masterstroke of design, each detail perfectly thought through with impeccable taste. The stunning fit-out and extension of the castle and the high-end spec of all the bespoke interiors are beautifully paired with antiques from the original home.
With a passion for creative design, Arlene and her team wanted to create a timeless, classic pared back feel to the interiors throughout the Castle. Soft linens and velvets were introduced into all of the bedrooms along with a soft palette of tones to help guests feel relaxed during their stay.
Integrating as many of the original pieces in the castle as they could into each room, they introduced a few new pieces also, stylish and modern yet with more than just a nod to their splendid surroundings. The bathrooms have all had a total refurbishment, but again marrying the old and the new with such design insight that they are, in themselves, worthy of note.
According to Ivan King, General Manager of Luttrellstown Castle Resort:
“We are really excited about the next stage refurbishment and renovation of Luttrellstown Castle. At every stage, we seek to bring the highest level of luxury and exclusivity to the castle and honour its history and heritage. There is a very active market of visitors, especially from the US, who seek privacy, top level Irish hospitality, fine dining and true heritage along with the extras of golf and fishing and we look forward to hosting even more guests into 2020 and beyond.”
